Know this is last minute but for those that can attend, this is a great meeting for some solid information.

Just wanted to make sure you are aware of these meetings held in the Farmington library (go in and up the stairs).

I have been to one and was really glad I attended.

The meeting tomorrow has quite a few interesting topics: Cap and Trade, the Federal Reserve, Gubernatorial candidate Tom George and the reason I am going - the"Water as a Public Trust" proposal.

We are sitting on a well and a pond - what could this mean for us? Maybe nothing - maybe…

HOUSTON: MODEL CITY

Politicians in big cities talk about jobs, but by keeping taxes, fees and regulatory barriers high they discourage the creation of jobs, at least in the private sector. A business in San Francisco or Los Angeles never knows what bizarre new cost will be imposed by city hall. In New York or Boston you can thrive as a nonprofit executive, high-end consultant or financier, but if you are the owner of a business that wants to grow, you're out of luck, says Joel…

Global Warming

May 24, 2010

ARE YOU READY FOR GLOBAL COOLING?

It's not exactly Copenhagen or Kyoto, but the 700 scientists attending the fourth International Conference on Climate Change, sponsored by the Heartland Institute, had some chilling news of their own, says Investor's Business Daily (IBD).

"Global warming is over -- at least for a few decades," Don Easterbrook, emeritus professor of geology at Western Washington…

Another one down!!!

Late last night on the East Coast, we found out that Charles Djou won Hawaii’s special election. With 39% of the vote, Djou beat Colleen Hanabusa (30.8%) and former Congressman Ed Case (27.6%). Most remarkably, this is President Obama’s home district and, in 2008, he carried it handily with 70%...

A PATRIOTIC ATTITUDE!!!

Guest speaker Jim Keena of Walled Lake then took the podium.

“Some call tea partiers extremists,” he said. “They mean it as an insult, but I wear it as a badge of honor. I embrace Barry Goldwater’s view of extremism. He said, I quote, ‘Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice, and moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue.’ We are extremists who insist on holding our elected officials accountable to the constitution, and we are extremists who…

HEALTH CARE BILL

Health Issues

May 19, 2010

READ THE FINE PRINT

Various parts of the Democrats' health care reform law have been held up as pieces that might not stand up to a constitutional rigor, says Investor's Business Daily (IBD).

For example:

  • The individual mandate that requires those who aren't previously covered by insurance to buy a plan is the most likely place for the legal objections to begin.
  • Another provision that is…

Rand Paul defeated Republican establishment favorite Trey Grayson in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, a closely watched race that was a key test of the tea party movement's strength.

Ruth Johnson

Thanks to the organizers of this wonderful event! It was great to see so many people that know democracy is not a spectator sport. The counter on the home page sends a frightening message.

This is the beginning of a new day by the people and for the people. The Tea Party movement is the antidote to big, bad and out of control government. …

Sunday's Rally and Restoring Honor Rally

Was awesome! What a turn out! It was my second rally and easily the best.

I was also wondering if there is a plan to go by bus to the Restoring Honor Rally 8-28? I am thinking my best chance for going is finding a large group going by bus. Any information would be helpful! Thanks!

The rally yesterday!

Wow, guys what a great job you all did and what a great turn out.

The speakers were inspiring but for me one of the most inspiring moments was to see the show of hands for people indicating this was the first Tea Party they had attended.

I'm sure they were not disappointed and will be back.

Lots of high energy which is what we will be needing to maintain in the coming months.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed sitting in the…

2010-the year we TAKE MICHIGAN BACK! Part 1

2009 was a momentous year because We the People went to war. Not just with those outside our country but from within. We are at war with those who have methodically worked to dismantle our Constitution, torn apart our representative Republic, and who wish to put another form of… Continue
